About:
The Earl L. Vandermeulen Varsity Club raised over $1,000 for cancer research through two fundraisers during the month of November.
For the first fundraiser, Port Jefferson students organized a pink volleyball tournament where students and teachers donated funds to participate in a friendly, after-school student versus staff volleyball tournament. The tournament ended with the teachers ousting the students with a final score of 23-21.
The Varsity Club also spearheaded a No Shave November, which challenged administrators, teachers and support staff to not shave throughout the entire month and make donations for participating.
